Lin Tao, male, born in April 1970, holds a postgraduate diploma of Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Governance. He is a member of the Communist Party of China (CPC). He now serves as a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee, Deputy Mayor, Deputy Secretary of the Leading Party Members’ Group of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, Director General of the Office of the Financial Commission of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee , Secretary of the Financial Work Commission of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee, and President of Nanjing Municipal Academy of Governance.

He is responsible for the routine work of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, in charge of development and reform, major projects, food and strategic reserves, paired assistance and cooperation, private economy, military-civilian mutual support,  human resources and social security, transportation and engineering construction, port construction and management, urban management, emergency management, state-owned assets management, data management, government service management, government information disclosure, statistics, taxation, national defense mobilization (civil defense), finance, and administrative affairs. He also coordinates between the municipal government and Jiangbei New Area and assists in fiscal and audit affairs.

He supervises several municipal government departments:

The General Office of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government (Nanjing Municipal Counselor’s Office), Nanjing Municipal Development and Reform Commission (Food and Strategic Reserves Administration), Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Human Resources and Social Security, Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Transportation (Local Railway Development Office), Nanjing Municipal Urban Management Bureau (Bureau of Comprehensive Administrative Law Enforcement), Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Emergency Management, State-Owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government,  Research Office of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Data Management  (Nanjing Municipal Government Service Management Office), Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Statistics, Nanjing Municipal National Defense Mobilization Office (Civil Air Defense Office of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government), Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Local Financial Regulation, Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Administrative Affairs Management, Reception Office of Nanjing Municipal People’s Government, Nanjing Municipal Offices in other Chinese cities, Nanjing Municipal Public Engineering Construction Center. He also assists in supervising work for Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Finance and the Nanjing Municipal Bureau of Audit.
