On the morning of March 23, 2026, Dr. Tania Pizzari, an Australian sports rehabilitation specialist and former Chief Medical Officer of FC Barcelona, visited Nanjing Hospital of Chinese Medicine to provide guidance on the clinical practice of sports medicine. Her visit not only grants Nanjing residents access to top-tier sports medicine diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation services overseen by international experts right on their doorstep, but will also boost mutual learning and exchange between China and Australia in the field of sports rehabilitation.
This collaboration is a concrete initiative under the framework of the Nanjing-Melbourne Sister City International Cooperation Platform. Australia has established a multi-disciplinary expert team composed of four to five sports medicine specialists, who will be stationed at Nanjing Hospital of Chinese Medicine in rotation from March to November each year. The team will provide comprehensive professional guidance across the full spectrum of sports medicine diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation, and scientific research.
