钟山也因得天独厚的地理位置决定了雨花茶的不凡之处,“林茶间作,梅茶共生”的种植方式为钟山雨花茶的优质品质奠定了基础。
Nanjing's Zhongshan Mountain is the birthplace of Yuhua Tea. Tea cultivation here dates back to the Six Dynasties period (222-589), when ancient tea makers began perfecting their craft. Inspired by the shape of pine needles, artisans later refined Yuhua Tea into its signature slender, needle-like form. Unlike other green teas, only the youngest and most tender leaves—no longer than three centimeters—are carefully selected. The tea-making process is meticulous, involving plucking, withering, pan-firing, rolling, shaping, drying, refining, and roasting, ensuring its unique shape, rich flavor, and delicate fragrance.What makes Yuhua Tea truly special is its distinct growing environment. Here, tea is cultivated between forests and among blooming plum trees, an intercropping method that enhances its natural fragrance and exceptional quality.
