The Foreign Affairs Office of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government has announced that Jiangsu now offers specialized visa facilitation services for companies in the province to invite foreign businesspersons for short-term visits.
I. Eligible Applicants
Foreign business professionals who frequently visit Jiangsu for business and trade activities and play active roles in promoting Jiangsu's international economic and trade cooperation, as well as their spouses and children.
II. Application Procedures
Step 1 - Companies should compile a list of proposed foreign business professionals to be invited to Jiangsu, along with their spouses and children, for a five-year multiple-entry Chinese visa with a duration of up to 180 days per visit, and submit the application to the local foreign affairs office (FAO).
Step 2 - The local FAO where the company is based will submit the application through the higher-level FAOs up to the Jiangsu Provincial Foreign Affairs Office. Upon approval, Jiangsu Provincial Foreign Affairs Office will issue an invitation letter for a multiple-entry Chinese visa valid for five years, with a stay duration of up to 180 days per visit.
Step 3 - Foreign nationals can apply for the visa at the visa section of the Chinese embassy or consulate in their home country by presenting the invitation letter, which grants multiple entries over five years with a stay duration of up to 180 days per visit, along with other required documents.
Jiangsu Provincial Foreign Affairs Office issues the invitation letter within three to five working days and does not charge any fees.
III. Information Needed
The application form requires basic information about the invitee (workplace, position, etc.), the invitee's business engagement with the inviting company and preliminary itinerary during stay in China.
