On May 28th and 29th, Zhou Hongbo, Secretary of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee, met with Ambassador of Italy to China, Massimo Ambrosetti, and Consul-General of Singapore in Shanghai, Loh Tuck Keat, respectively.
During the meeting with Ambrosetti, the two sides agreed that, to implement the important consensus reached by heads of state of the two countries, the two sides will take the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Italy as an opportunity to further expand cooperation between Nanjing and Italy in manufacturing, science and technology, consumption, and historical and cultural heritage protection, continuously deepen sister-city exchanges, and contribute a greater share in consolidating China-Italy comprehensive strategic partnership.
During the meeting with Loh Tuck Keat, both sides expressed the intention to fully leverage the mechanism of Singapore-Nanjing Special Projects Cooperation Panel (SNCP), enhance the development of Singapore-Nanjing Eco High-Tech Island, and yield more pragmatic cooperative results in areas such as green and low-carbon development, digital economy, and cultural and people-to-people exchanges.
Also present were Huo Huiping, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Nanjing, and Tiziana D’Angelo, Consul-General of Italy in Shanghai.
