On January 9, Zhou Hongbo, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and Secretary of CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee, met with Lorenzo Riccardi, Chairman of the China-Italy Chamber of Commerce (CICC), and senior executives of Italian companies.

The two sides had in-depth exchanges on continuously deepening cooperation between Nanjing and Italy, and agreed that economic and trade exchanges has made substantive progress in key projects, and extensive and in-depth exchanges has been carried out between cities. There is huge potential for closer cooperation in various fields between the two sides. This year marks the 55 anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Italy. The two sides will implement the important agreement of the heads of the two sides, make good use of the CICC, to strengthen cooperation in advanced manufacturing, scientific and technological innovation, cultural tourism, consumption, finance, as well as sustainable development. We will work continuously for mutual benefits and common development, and contribute greatly to the comprehensive strategic partnership between China and Italy.

Huo Huiping, Member of the Standing Committee of CPC Nanjing Municipal Committee and Executive Vice Mayor of Nanjing, Board Director Lorenzo Bali, Davide Angelibusi and Cristina Corsini from the CICC also attended the meeting.
