Confirmation Form for Elementary Stage Students Study in China
If foreign students studying in the primary and secondary schools (including kindergartens) of our city cannot obtain a dependent visa, they can apply for the Confirmation Form through Nanjing Municipal Education Bureau (NMEB), and then apply for a study residence permit from the exit-entry administration authority.
The application process is as follows:
1. Qualification review
Please send the following documents to NMEB’s email (jw202nanjing@126.com): Enrollment Certificate issued by the receiving school, first page of the student's passport, the valid visa page, first page of both parents' passports, and the valid visa pages. Scan all these documents into a single PDF file. NMEB and the exit-entry administration authority will review the materials successively.
2. Form completion
After the approval, NMEB will send a template of JW202 Form and its number to the parent's email. Please input the relevant information on a computer and print four copies of the form. Ensure to accurately fill in the name, passport number, date of birth, and other information strictly according to the passport.
3. Form stamping and mailing
Please bring four copies of the form to be stamped successively by the receiving school, education bureau of the districts, and NMEB. The responsible person from the receiving school should stamp the admission section of the pages 2, 3, and 4. If the student is enrolled in a school that accepts many foreign students (e.g., schools for international children), the parents can directly come to NMEB for stamping after obtaining the signature and stamp from the receiving school. Express mail all the stamped materials to the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education. Include a prepaid return express waybill (with the return address filled in) in the package. 4. Applying for Study Residence Permit
Parents should bring the Confirmation Form for Elementary Stage Students Study in China stamped by the Provincial Department of Education and other application materials to apply for a study residence permit at the Municipal Public Security Bureau's Exit-Entry Administration Department (No. 173 Baixia Road).
