The British School of Nanjing (BSN) opened in August 2007, to educate the children of expatriate families, and has since grown to provide an education for 2- to 18-year-old. Despite our British name, we have a truly international flavor to our student body, which now numbers around 40 nationalities.
The British School of Nanjing is located South of the city, 30 minutes drive from the city centre (Xinjiekou) and commands amazing views of Cuiping Mountain and its green surroundings. The school is in close proximity to prominent expatriate residential compounds, and operates 10 bus routes, designed to reduce the time students spend traveling to/from school.
BSN provide an international education based on the British curriculum. Students follow the English National Curriculum, including IGCSEs and A-levels. These qualifications set the standard for international education and provide pathways to higher education across the globe.In Senior School, Year 6-9 are based on the UK curriculum with an international dimension. Year 10 & 11 complete IGCSE exams and Year 12 &13 complete AS and A-Level qualifications. We provide a broad sporting and co-currilular programme which prepares our students well for life as young adults who will make a positive contribution to seciety.
Nord Anglia Education is a premium education provider operating 81 schools in 32 countries. As part of Nord Anglia Education’s global campus, the school enjoys unique collaborations with King’s College London, The Juilliard School, New York, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), all of which contribute directly to curriculum development and teacher training. Pupils have a wide variety of co-curricular opportunities available to them and are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities. All students take part in the programmes of annual residential experiences in Senior School to Vietnam, Tanzania, New York, Switzerland, and various cities in China. The residential trips focus on community service, personal development and bonding.
