Nanjing Foreign Language Volunteer Service Association, initiated by the Nanjing Foreign Affairs Office and registered with the Nanjing Civil Affairs Bureau, is underpinned by a cohort of local volunteers, from foreign language majors and international students at higher institutions to Chinese and foreign individuals as both language experts and public welfare advocates. The Association delivers a diversified range of foreign exchange events, enabling its member volunteers to establish the international presence of Nanjing.

It has recruited a city-wide corp of more than 50 member organizations, including 12 district-level volunteer teams and nearly 20 institutions.

The China Volunteer Service Federation rewards participants with Volunteering Certificates, which can be translated into academic credits and other on-campus awards, as embraced by multiple higher institutions. Each year, the Association recognizes and rewards excellent individuals and organizations, with top-performers offered access to international volunteer service programs.

The Association’s mission is to deliver higher-caliber foreign language service with accurate expressions, and to launch a wide range of accessible foreign exchange programs so that volunteers can do their part.
