Nanjing International Plum Blossom Festival

The festival is a national event that has been held every February-March since 1996 to entertain both domestic and foreign  visitors. During the festival, singing and dancing performances, cultural exhibitions and trade exchange are organized. The city-wide carnival events include activities such as the opening ceremony, song and dance performances and plum appreciation activities.

Nanjing Gucheng Lake Crab Festival

Gucheng Lake Crab Festival has been successfully held since 2020. The crab industry of Gaochun has become a national model of efficient, large-scale aquaculture and a profitable industry in rural construction. Crab aquaculture in Gaochun County began in 1990. In the beginning, a vast expanse of water was covered for free-range breeding. Now, the aquaculture area has expanded to 15,000 hectares and the annual output has increased from 156,000 kilograms to 11 million kilograms.

Qinhuai Lantern Festival

Qinhuai Lantern Festival has been held since ancient times at the Confucius Temple. It is also known as the Jinling Lantern Festival, featuring popular cultural activities. There is a great deal of cheerful bustle along the Qinhuai River during both the Spring Festival and the Lantern Festival.
