As of end last year, production value of industrial enterprises above designated size in Nanjing exceeded 1 trillion for the first time, with a YoY increase of 24.3%.

Industrial economic aggregate of Nanjing kept a healthy and fast development trend in 2011and delivered the objectives set up at the year beginning. As of end last year, accumulative gross industrial output value of enterprises above designated size reached 1.0352 trillion RMB, which is 185 billion RMB more than the year before last. Software business revenue was 152 billion RMB, growing by 50%, which is 50.7 billion more than 2010.

Industrial structure of Nanjing was further optimized last year. 8 emerging industries totally completed revenue of 300.5 billion RMB, growing by 30.2%, 2.3% higher than 2010, which accounts for 29.3% of above designated size industry. A batch of high-end programs were kicked off, such as OLED illumination panel development, smart grid scientific research base, YPC and JLPC petroleum upgrade. Key projects like the 6th generation LCD panel line were launched. 

Innovation capability of enterprises increases continuously. 1 enterprise technology center has got national authentication. 217 items of Enterprise Research and Development 861 Programs were listed as provincial key technology innovation items. In Nanjing, 10 service platforms of “Integration of Informatization and Industrialization” were built and 210 programs under it were completed. 1200 enterprises realized information upgrade for resource plan management. End of last year, Nanjing passed the state buy-off of “Integration of Informatization and Industrialization” trial-out area.

Regarding energy saving and emission reduction, Nanjing delivered 102 key energy saving and circular economy projects, which by estimation could save about 700,000 tons standard coals. The first batch of 173 enterprises featuring high investment, consumption, pollution and low level, benefit have been rectified. 170 enterprises will be shut down or transformed, 3 enterprises are to be relocated. 10 thousand RMB GDP energy consumption is expected to reduce by 3.7%.
