YPC-BASF Phase II Project with total investment of 1.4 billion USD was launched successfully. Nanjing Mayor Ji Jianye attended the Launch Ceremony.
The project commenced in September, 2009. It will supplement production of downstream special chemical products to Phase I Project and yield 3 million tons of various chemicals and polymer yearly. As of now, YPC-BASF Phase I and II plus the original little YPC-BASF Project will form the biggest Sino-German Chemical Joint Venture in China with total investment of 4.64 billion USD. Besides, a batch of new development plans is being implemented. A Super Absorbent Resin Facility with annual capacity of 60,000 tons will be kicked off within the year and launched into operation in 2014. it will provide high quality materials for widely needed baby and adult diapers. A Crylic Acid Facility with capacity of 160,000tons and a Butyl Facility will be kicked off in 2015. |
