At the newly held the 2nd Nanjing CPC 13th Committee Plenary (Enlarged) Meeting, series documents of Nanjing Cultural Development which have been prepared for long were shown to the meeting attendees. This unveiled the policy system of “1+5+1” that will drive cultural development and prosperity in the future 5 years for Nanjing.

The first “1” of “1+5+1” refers to the Resolutions on Expediting Cultural Development, Enhancing Cultural Strength and Building A Uniquely Charming Cultural City and A World’s Famous Historical and Cultural City. “5” refers to the 3 documents to be passed by the plenary meeting, i.e. Opinions on Deepening Cultural System Reform, Opinions on Promoting Leapfrog Development of Cultural Industry and Opinions on Strengthening Cultural Talent Team Building and the documents have been promulgated, i.e. Opinions on Strengthening Cultural Heritage Protection by Nanjing Party Committee and Implementation Opinions on Expediting Completion of Public Cultural System. The last one of the system refers to Nanjing Key Cultural Project Plan (2011-2015).

The whole “1+5+1” system forms a package plan for Nanjing to speed up cultural development and enhance cultural strength and outlines a clear roadmap for building Nanjing into a uniquely charming cultural city and a world’s famous historical and cultural city in the future 5 years.
