From this year, official website of Nanjing Environment Protection Bureau will announce real time air quality monitoring data, to enable the public and administration department to always get to know air quality status and changes.

Nanjing real-time air quality announcement system integrates the hourly average value of SO2, NO2 and inhalable particles from 9 national controlled monitoring stations, respectively at the Olympic Center, Caochangmen, Maigaoqiao, Pukou, Ruijin Road, Shanxi Road, Xianlin University Town, Zhonghuamen and Xuanwu Lake.

On the first day of 2012, Nanjing was lightly polluted. Air quality of Jan. 2 was good.
