Upon the invitation of Singapore YOG Organising Committee, Mayor Ji Jianye led the municipal government delegation to Singapore on 23rd.

On that evening, Singaporean Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Vice Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean met the delegation headed by Mayor Ji Jianye and Vice-mayor Lu Zhipeng at the national gymnasium and watched Pingpong Match of the Youth Olympic Games together. Ji Jianye briefed Prime Minister Lee on Nanjing overview and preparations of the 2nd YOG based on learning from Singapore. Lee gladly told Ji that, Jiangsu, Nanjing and Singapore have close relations and cooperative space. Development of Nanjing has deeply impressed him.  
　　
On 24th, the delegation went to learn development of scientific zones, public housing and rail traffic in Singapore at One-North, Scientific and Technological Development Bureau, Housing Development Board, Metro Control Center, etc. The delegation made in-depth communication with related departments of Singapore on scientific and technological service industries and improving habitat and traffic quality of the city.

The delegation looked around in display areas of One-North and Fusion World, where a series of advanced technological innovation results are depicting the future life styles of the people.

At Housing Development Board of Singapore, the delegation got to know planning, construction and operation modes of public housing in details and went to the site to visit exchange market and sample houses. They had in-depth discussion on how to deliver public housing construction to better meet the demands of citizens. 

In the afternoon, Ji Jianye paid a special trip to Metro Operation Control Center of Singapore to learn about rail traffic planning, development, route layout, passenger flow and ticket prices. He also went on metro trains to experience the ride himself. (Nanjing Daily)
