Nanjing Metro Co., Ltd. started to invite public bidding for pre-feasibility study and along-the-line land-using control planning of Metro Line 8, 13 and 17, which means construction of the 6 new lines commenced. 

“Kick-off of bidding invitation for pre-engineering feasibility research means that construction for the 6 lines started,” said a responsible person of Nanjing Transport Department. Commencement of new metro lines should go through the following procedures: locally initial planning, compiling engineering feasibility report, submitting for approval to NDRC, etc. The feasibility report is a key step that signifies the start of metro line construction and confirmation of the routes.
