On 14th, Chen Shaoze, vice party secretary of Nanjing met the delegation of Vietnamese Communist Party headed by Ruan Shizhong, central commissioner, executive vice minister of Central Ministry of Civil Transport. They carried out a cordial and friendly conversation.

Chen Shaoze introduced time-honored history and culture, economic and social development and scientific undertakings to the guests, focusing on agriculture, party construction in communities and non-governmental enterprises. Nanjing is a national civilized city. It is striving for a international and modernized green city where economic development is more vigorously, cultural feature are more distinctive, habitat is more beautiful and society is more harmonious. In 2008, Nanjing won the Special Citation of the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honor Award. In 2014, Nanjing will host the 2nd Youth Olympic Games.    

Ruan Shizhong expressed that, development on economy and various aspects of Nanjing deeply impressed his delegation, especially Nanjing’s attention on transformation of economic development and environmental protection in the process of industrialization, as well as Nanjing’s urban planning.
