Earthquake Relief Supplies Sent to Chile from Lukou Airport Yesterday Morning

At 00:10, March 5th, a chartered plan full of relief supplies took off for Santiago, capital of Chile, at Lukou Airport in Nanjing. These supplies were given to Chilean people with the affection and friendship from the Chinese. Nanjing Frontier Inspection Station and Port Joint Inspection Department initiated joint-logistics mechanism, opened green passage specially to transact exit procedures quickly and enabled the plane to leave 10 minutes earlier.  

Among the relief supplies of 96 ton that worth 2 million USD, there are 700 cotton camps, 10,000 carpets, 100 portable generator, 2 water purification equipment. These supplies were carried by a Boeing 747-400 series chartered passenger plane, which took off from Beijing Capital Airport, went through frontier-exit procedure in Nanjing Lukou International Airport and will stopover at Los Angeles Airport of USA. The plane is expected to arrive in Santiago, capital of Chile on early morning of March 6th, Beijing time or at 13:30 of March 5th, Chile time. 

It is said that, Nanjing Frontier Inspection Station and Port Joint Inspection Department paid high attention to this task of sending out relief supplies by chartered plane. They promptly initiated contingency plan for important logistics task. When the chartered plan arrived at Lukou Airport, they provided one-stop custom clearance service within the shortest time.
