2010 Jiangsu • Qinhuai Lantern Show successfully concluded on 3rd. During the 20-day exhibition, 400 citizens and visitors in total came to watch lanterns, setting the highest record ever. On the evening of the Lantern’s Day, 500,000 visitors flocked.  

As the first Spring Festival lantern show jointly held by mainland China and Taiwan area, the activity won special attention due to its background of “politics, culture and festival”. According to incomplete statistics, 400,000 lanterns were sold at over 100 booths in the market of the Confucius Temple; total sales value amounted to over 10 million RMB, 20% increased than last year.
