A few days ago, Mayor Ji Jianye met the delegation of Kimberly-Clark, headed by Thomas J. Falk, Chairman and CEO, from Dallas, US, sister city of Nanjing. Chen Weijian, Vice-mayor also attended the meeting.
Ji Jianye said that, Kimberly-Clark is a Fortune 500 company. It has set up a personal hygiene product company and a health care product company in Jiangning Development Zone since 1994 and become a big taxpayer in the zone. The fact proves that the investment of Kimberly-Clark in Jiangning is successful. Nanjing has abundant human resources and rational integrated commercial cost. The city is now developing new-energy industries such as smart grid and aviation. The establishment of South Nanjing Station will further complete the logistics system of Nanjing. There will be great commercial and cooperative opportunities. We welcome Kimberly-Clark to invest more in Nanjing and hopefully the company will get more market shares in China by making a start in Nanjing.
Mr. Falk expressed that they were optimistic on the development outlook of Nanjing. They saw the environment of development was good and felt confident for the future cooperation.。
At the conclusion of the meeting, Ji and Chen gave the honorable title of “Caring Enterprise” to Kimberly-Clark and awarded a medal to Mr. Falk. It is reported that, the company established “Kimberly-Clark Caring Fund” in Nanjing in 2008, to support charitable undertakings. (Nanjing Daily) |
