As the host city of the 2014 Youth Olympic Games is to be announced soon, Chinese students in America showed their support. On the evening of Jan. 30th, organizer of 2010 Greater New York Grand Chinese New Year Party specially introduced Nanjing’s bid for Youth Olympics to over 700 audience.

According to Chen Kang, planner of the party and a postdoctoral candidate in Mount Sinai School of Medicine, NY, the “Greater New York Grand Chinese New Year Party” is held for Chinese students in over 20 universities in New York region. They would like to express their deep-felt blessing for their motherland and show their support to Nanjing’s bid for 2014 Youth Olympics in this way. He said, as a Nanjingness, he wanted to contributed to Nanjing’s bid so he specially set up this session in the party. The Olympic bid was printed on the tickets of the party and fliers were distributed on the site to support Nanjing. (Nanjing Daily)
