The scale of modern logistics industry in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park continues to be upgraded. A few days ago, Oiltanking Nanjing Co., Ltd. held inauguration ceremony for Phase I Project and signing ceremony for Phase II Project and invested 25 million USD to expand its project.

Oiltanking is a world famous port storage and logistics enterprise. It owns ports and storagefacilites in over 20 countries. It started business in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park from July, 2007. Jointly with the Park and Nanjing Port, Oiltanking has built Oiltanking Nanjing Co., Ltd., building a 30,000 ton liquid chemical port, container covering 74,000 cubic meters, and supporting storage and transportation facilities for the first phase, which will provide unloading and storage services of liquid chemical and oil products for enterprises in the Industry Park. Now it has been launched into operation.

For Phase II Project, 25 million USD will be invested for Phase I expansion and railway unloading platform. Now preparations for the project are in process.

It is understood that Nanjing Chemical Industry Park founded the first specialized Chemical Logistics Park in Nanjing back in 2006 – Nanjing Jiangbei Chemical Logistics Park. In 2009, investment on modern logistics industry in the Park had a 30% YOY increase; operating revenue and profit tax of logistics companies respectively experienced a YOY increase of 25% and 37%.
