In July, "Environment Change and City Responsibility", as one of the 6 thematic forums of World Exposition, will be held in Nanjing. It is disclosed by Nanjing Trade Promotion Council that, this forum has attracted a lot of sign-up. The original plan was to invite 500 guest from home and abroad but over 700 people have already signed up and the total number may exceed 1000, plus local attendees.

Xia Ming, Vice-chairman of Nanjing Trade Promotion Council introduces that, the agenda of this forum has been basically confirmed. In 3-day time, there will be 6 sub-forums, covering the following themes: Low-carbon Development and Countermeasure against Climate Change, Green Industry and Pattern Innovation, Public Participation in Building a Green City, Integrated Renovation of City Environment and Clean Energy Development, Social Responsibilities of Enterprises to the Environment, Sustainable Way of Life and Consumption.

Guests to be invited are: Dr Pachauri, 2007 Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and Chairman of International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) of UN; Maurice F. Strong, Former Vice-Secretary-General of the United Nations; Amory Lovins, writer of Natural Capitalism and Former Counsel of the United States Department of Energy; Su Wei, deputy head of the Chinese Delegation and chief negotiator to the Copenhagen Conference.
