With the consignment of National Tourism Administration, China Tourism Academy recently promulgated 2009 Tourist Satisfaction Survey Results. Among the 50 sample cities, Nanjing, together with Beijing, Shanghai and Hangzhou came out top.
　　
It is reported that, the survey kicked off from March, 2009. China Tourism Academy specially set up a research group to conduct toursit satisfaction survey to 50 cities in China, through questionnaire filled out by toursits, internet analysis, study of quality supervision departments and interview with enterprises.
　　
The results show that composite index of  holistic 2009 tourist satisfaction is 79.80. Tourists of eastern cities got higher satisfaction. 
　　
The academy also indicates that, Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing and Hangzhou (sorted according to administrative division) have higher composit index.
　　
It is introduced by staff of Nanjing Tourism Bureau, Nanjing came out top in 2009 “National Toursit Satisfaction Survey” due to its abundant scenic resources, complete tourism services and beautiful environment. Nanjing is a renowned city famous for its histoy and culture. It integrates cultures of the Six Dynasties, the Ming Dynasty and the period of the Republic of China in mainland. There are many influential places of interests. City environment, which is becoming better and better, is another highlight attracting toursits. Moreover, the process of building Nanjing into a city of civilization, level of civilization and service of the city have been improved. (Nanjing Daily)
