On December 7, deputy mayor Ji Jianye met David Carry, President of Art and Design School of Stanford University and founder of IDEO corp., who came to visit Nanjing, and Yang Xingping, president of TCL Group and his team.

IDEO and Art and Design School of Stanford University are both the top class professional institutions in the world’s industrial designing area. Ji Jianye welcomed David Carry and his team. He said, Nanjing has a profound history and culture, there are many cultural heritages. In the meanwhile, there are many fine industrial bases and abundant science, educational and talent resources. It also owns a fine environment for the development of innovative originality industry.

The development of new emerging industry, the raising of city environment quality and the construction of science-tech innovative platform in Nanjing all provide a fine stage for the world top class  innovative and designing institutions and talents to exert their capabilities. We welcome IDEO, Art and Design School of Stanford University AND TCL to develop deepen cooperation with Nanjing, bring the world advanced innovative designing ideas, molds and resources to Nanjing and build together a innovative designing capital in the world level.

Davis Carry and Yang Xingping expressed that Nanjing owns many universities and talents. There are countable opportunities and possibilities for Nanjing’s development. We hope we can take part in Nanjing’s development to share the resources and realize the combination of innovative design and industry.
