Hans Christian Marxen, chairman of EUCCC Nanjing Branch has lived in Nanjing for nearly five years with his wife.
He has already regarded here as his second hometown unconsciously. In the Nanjing-EU Business matchmaking conference held recently, he said that his tenure of the office will be finished in next year and he might be leaving Nanjing. But being a friend that has made profound friendship with Nanjing, he promises he will always be a promotion ambassador for Nanjing.
In Marxen's view, Nanjing's development in recent years represents the whole China's rapid development. He said that somebody asked him why were the China-EU Summit and China-EU Business Summit held in Nanjing. He asked back: "Why not? Jiangsu is the riches province in China and Nanjing is the capital of Jiangsu. Nanjing has a ascendant geographic position, completed basic facilities, convenience transportation and abundant talents resources..." Being the chairman of EUCCC Nanjing Branch, he is willing to devote more to Nanjing's development. In the past 5 years, he has many feelings to share with more European merchants who are willing to invest in Nanjing.
Firstly he suggest the two sides of the investment, including investor, government and business partners, to work hard to accept the existence of the differences between Chinese and Western cultures. Next, when the foreigners coming to China for investment, they should learn how to "do in Rome as Rome does", they need to adjust themselves to the environment and turn China to be their second hometown. This is the magic weapon to win a great result of the investment. (Nanjing Daily) |
