The 4th International Retailers’ Sourcing Fair was closed on June 30. The total value of contracts and agreements is over RMB 14.1 billion. On the result conference hosted by Jiangsu Provincial Government, Hang Qinghua, Vice Secretary General of Jiangsu Provincial Government and Secretary General of Organization Committee, remarked “out of anticipation!”

According to statistics, the total value is up 89% than the last one, among which goods worth RMB 5.97 billion are purchased by the international sourcing groups while goods worth RMB 8.215 billion is purchased by the national sourcing parties; the total value of contracts and agreements of supplies in Jiangsu Province is RMB 8.183 billion and that of suppliers out of Jiangsu Province is RMB 6.002 billion. On the conference, a huge number of industrial enterprises expressed that they would have further contacts and negotiations afterwards.

Many “super large orders” were signed this time. Over 50 contracts and agreements worth RMB 10 million or above have been signed. The suppliers from Jiangsu had the best performance. Many enterprises “saw” its gold mines and signed contracts worth RMB 8.183 billion in total. Among them, Carrefour and Jiangsu Yueda Agriculture Development Company signed sourcing contracts worth as high as RMB 1 billion.

The amount of sourcing, scale of exhibition and number of people of this sourcing fair all hit the record, far beyond the previous three ones. (Nanjing Daily)
