The Fourth International Retailers’ Sourcing Fair (IRSF) was open on June 28. As informed from the press conference hosted by Jiangsu Provincial Government, 47 international retailers from dozens of countries and international renowned brands attended the fair in Nanjing. The sourcing list of foreign retailers on this fair involves over 10,000 items with more than 400 types.

The Organization Committee (OC) introduced that the exhibition area of the fair is 40,000 m2 with 1,800 stands. The level is much higher than the previous three years. Global Vice Presidents of some world Top 500 enterprises led their team to attend the fair, such as Wal-Mart, Carrefour, and Tesco etc. So do some famous retail groups such as RT-Mart, IKEA, and Decathlon etc. Plus, Presidents in China Area of fifteen multinational retail groups also attended with their missions.

The number of professional sourcing buyers and senior sourcing managers hit the record, about 1,000. The President of Carrefour Global Sourcing Center led hundreds of people to the fair. Moreover, dozens of multinational groups handed in the “export products sourcing list” for the first time and they are Carrefour, Auchan, Metro, Lotte, and E-Mart etc. They will put the products on the overseas markets. Some famous department stores take IRSF as a platform to invite businesses, such as Pacific Department Store Far East, Global Department Store, Deji Plaza etc.

IRSF this year will be a gathering for enterprises of supply and demand and a shopping paradise for people. (Nanjing Daily)
