On June 23, the JINSIRUI Co., Ltd (Originally JINSITE Biotechnology Co., Ltd) announced that it has got venture capitals worth 15 million Dollars successfully from two world famous venture capital (VC) funds—KPCB and TBIG Healthcare.

This is the largest amount of VC so far in the field of bio pharmaceutical R&D outsourcing in China.

Some relevant executive from JINSIRUI said that with the VC, the company will not only set up production and R&D centers in the Nanjing High-tech Development Zone and the Jiangning Science Park but also increase R&D input to raise the biotechnology service level and expand productivity. Meanwhile, the company can enhance the improvement of brand and establishment of channels so that it will become a global leading enterprise in the field of pharmaceutical R&D service outsourcing.

Unlike the service outsourcing of IT industry, the bio pharmaceutical service outsourcing industry is comparatively not very familiar in China. Some executive from JINSIRUI explained that the service outsourcing of bio pharmaceutical R&D is mainly to provide services about gene synthesis, protein expression, protein purification, peptide synthesis, and antibody R&D etc. for global famous medication companies and scientific research organizations.

In just a few years, the bio pharmaceutical R&D of JINSIRUI has developed very fast.

So far, it has synthesized over 30,000 various complicated genes for such global famous pharmaceutical factories as Roche and Merck and some scientific research institutes like Yale, and it has become the largest enterprises of bio pharmaceutical R&D outsourcing in China.
