Schwarz Mayors Philharmonic Society of Austria staged an original performance for Nanjing citizens. This is the first “Expo performance” brought to Nanjing and the first time for foreign philharmonic society to put on a charitable musical show on citizen’s square in Nanjing. 

“Many of the society members are mayors. Look at that musical director. He is a head of a county,” introduced by Isabel Wolte, a volunteer working for Austria Pavilion and MC of this performance. But will their work be affected when the mayors come out to give performances? “They just temporarily come to give performances and will go back to Austria as soon as the show ends.” “Despite of the hot weather, performers of Austria Folk Music Dance Group still wore traditional clothes and presented an exotic open-air concert. 

“I didn’t have the chance to see performances at the Austria Pavilion when I went to Expo Shanghai. Unexpectedly, I can now see it in Nanjing,” a couple named Chen said excitedly. (Modern Express)
