On the evening of 20th, a singing and dancing performance named Ticket to Bollywood was put on by Bollywood Song & Dance Troupe in the People’s Great Hall of Nanjing. It marked the beginning of “India Festival” in Nanjing.

This artistic style featuring magnificent costume, joyful music and graceful dances is a mixture of traditional Indian folk dance, modern music, light and stage. It is widely known and highly popular in India and well received in the world. 23 Indian dancers changed up to 400 costume and 1000 folk accessories during the 90-minute performance. They gave full play to magnificence and grandness of Bollywood singing and dancing through amorous body languages and buoyant music and vividly demonstrate the charm of Indian culture to the audience.

The performance fell into three parts: classics, folk ceremonies and traditional wedding ceremony. (Nanjing Daily)
