Chinese-Japanese Youth Symphony Concert Held in Nanjing

Nanjing University Symphony Orchestra and Gunma Young Symphony Orchestra jointly staged a charitable symphony concert, “Welcome YOG and Celebrate Expo Shanghai” at Nanjing Culture and Art Center on August 2nd. 

The concert was organized by Nanjing University, Jiangsu Youth Federation, Jiangsu Students Federation and Nanjing Culture and Cultural Relics Bureau. On that evening, two symphony orchestras of China and Japan performed 15 songs including Ode to the Red Flag, Carmen March and Japanese Children’s Folk Rhymes.

Music Directors of the concert were Mr. Lv Xiaoyi, standing music director of Nanjing University Symphony Orchestra, Mr. Nan Shenyi who once studied in Vienna State Academy of Music and Mr. Stephan Eller, standing music director of National Symphony Orchestra of Peru.    Another 3 performances will also be given by NJU Symphony Orchestra and Gunma Young Symphony Orchestra at Nepal Pavilion and Expo Center of Shanghai Expo.
