Since March 28th, Lukou Airport and China South Airlines jointly open international flights: Nanjing-Guangzhou-Sydney and Nanjing-Guangzhou-Melbourne in the way of “one ticket through and baggage tag-through”. Taking these flights will save at least 2 hours than transferring via Shanghai or Beijing. The airport principal introduces that, the new flights have filled the blank of Nanjing-Australia international flights. Now, direct flights of “one ticket through’ are available for Nanjing-American and Nanjing-Australia.
As Nanjing is speeding up its opening-up to the outside world, Lukou Airport now own flights to 76 domestic and foreign cities. 27 direct or transfer flights to Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, Macau, LA, Frankfurt, Moscow, Vancouver and Amsterdam. An air transport network covering China, radiating to Asia and linking with Europe and America has taken preliminary shape.
A responsible person of airport operation command center says, although the market of direct flights to North America and Australia is not mature, there are many convenient flights to those destinations via Asia countries or Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou. In recent years, Lukou Airpot has tried hard to cooperate with big airline companies. Now, jointly with Air China and China Eastern Airlines, flights of Nanjing-Beijing-NY and Nanjing-Pudong-LA/Vancouver are available in the form of “one ticket through”.。
That person introduces that, “One ticket though” is very convenient. You only need to buy a ticket, get a through-trip boarding pass, check your baggage once and transact exit procedures of international flights, then you can fly to North America or Australia from Nanjing via Beijing, Shanghai or Guangzhou.” (Nanjing Daily) |
