According to the statistics issued by Jiangsu Tourism Administration on April 26th, in Quarter 1 this year, 1.2114 million person-times of tourists were received by 13 provincially administered municipalities, 15% YoY increase. Tourist foreign exchange earning is 772 million USD, 18.4% YoY increase.    

During that period, number of foreign tourists arranged by international travel agencies in Jiangsu growed 42.5% on a YoY base. Range of increase for tourists from South Korea, Switzerland, Sweden, Japan and Spain is respectively 3.34 times, 3 times, 2.6 times, 1.3 times and 1 time. Large groups of inbound tourists have fueled the local economy. According to statistics, guestroom lease rate of tourism hotels in Jiangsu increased by 3% vs. same time last year. 101 4A above level scenic spots received more than 39 million person-times of visitors, increased by 6.8%.
