A series of international flights will be opened in Jiangsu in 2010. The flight from Nanjing toSydney and Xuxi to Singapore are expected to be opened within the year.
In 2009, our province planned to open 7 international flights such as Nanjing to Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Wuxi to Seoul and over 10 regional flights from Lianyungang, Xuzhou, Yancheng or Nantong to other major cities in China. As of the end of November, Jiangsu opened 8 international flights and 14 domestic flights, exceeding the annual targets. Throughput of civial aviation in Jiangsu has increased by 23% vs. last year.
This year, Jiangsu will further its efforts on opening new flights, among which the flight from Nanjing to Sydney scheduled in 2009 is hopefully to be run in 2010. In order to match the economic development of southern Jiangsu, the flight from Wuxi to Singapore will be strived. Besides, Air China and Eastern Airlines opened the flight from Nanjing to Beijing via the airport in Beijing and Pudong, Shanghai respectively. It is convenient but takes long time in stopover. So there is a plan to open direct flight from Nanjing to north America this year. (Yangtze Evening) |
