The day before New Year, a special newly-married couple came to Zhongshan Dock of Nanjing. Matthew, The bridegroom is a blond American and Wang Wen, the bride is a native girl. The rent a cruise ship and held their wedding on the river in a novel way.
     
At 2pm, the white cruise ship accessorized by ribbons and balloons moored at Nanjing Jiaotong Dock. Clustered around by friends and relatives, the couple went down from their “wedding ship” hand in hand. They had their pictures taken along the riverside and attracted attention of many tourists nearby. “We often see wedding cars but seldom see a wedding ship”, said the curious visitors. And the couple were really eye-catching in that the bride was a typical oriental beauty and the bridegroom looked tall and strong.
     
This a transnational love. Nanjing girl Wang Wen went to study in Holland several years ago and made acquaintance with an American, Matthew. Soon, they fell in love. In order to make their wedding uniquely unforgettable, Wang Wen had asked her relatives and friends to provide innovative ideas. Finally, they chose to hold the wedding on a cruise ship. Matthew’s mother also came to China to express her blessing.
     
Wang Wen told the reporter that after the Spring Festival, she would leave for the USA with her husband. So she wanted to shoot the whole wedding process as a record. She said with smile, “Just now the ship went under the Yangtze River Bridge, and the view on both banks are so beautiful”. Matthew then said, “It's very nice,but very very cold”.
