Recently, the Nanjing Municipal Welfare Home for Children received a special donation—RMB 600 from a university of Colorado Springs. The donator is named Yueyue. Fifteen years ago, she was adopted by a foreign family from this welfare home.

Every year some children of the welfare home are adopted by foreign families, including some handicapped ones. The welfare home often receives letters of children who are adopted by foreign families. They talked about their lives abroad to the staffs in the welfare home. The first child who was adopted by a foreign family is now 26 years old.
