The 2009 9th Nanjing Kinsley Sheraton Dragon Boat competition was held in the Mochou Lake Park. After three rounds of competition among 27 Chinese and foreign teams, the Nanjing Sheraton Group finally won the championship. The second and third place belonged to Nemak Cast Aluminum Group and Tacos respectively.

The Kinsley Sheraton dragon boat competition has been held for nine times, which has become a grand thing in the fields of tourism and business in Nanjing. More and more foreign invested enterprises joined in this activity for better experiencing and understanding China’s unique charm of traditional culture.

On that day, crowds of audience were on the banks of the Mochou Lake. Some citizens even went there very early with excitements. Some people who were doing morning exercises joined in the cheering squad. The vigorous atmosphere touched contestants too. One from Nemak company told that he and his teammates all drank a mug of beer earlier. “I feel so good in such a perfect atmosphere!” During the competition, with the rhythm of drum, contestants were working as one to get to the destination when audiences were cheering loudly to encourage them. Beautiful girls of cheering squads were dancing on the stage cheerfully. People’s excitement on the water and banks touched each other, making the Mochou Lake Park a sea of joy. (Nanjing Daily)
