A state-level chemical industry part, Nanjing Chemical Industry Park is located in the north of Nanjing Municipality, on the northern bank of the Yangtze River and 30 km from the urban center of Nanjing. The Park has a total planning area of 45 km2. It gives priority to developing petrochemistry, basic organic chemical raw materials, fine chemicals, macromolecule materials, new chemical materials and life science projects.

Nanjing Chemical Industry Park is in close neighborhood of SINOPEC’s YPC and BASF-YPC Co., Ltd while several backbone enterprises of SINOPEC are located near the Park, such as Jinling Petrochemical Corporation, Yizheng Chemical Fiber Company, Nanjing Chemical Industry Corporation, Nanjing Chemical Plant and Jiangsu Petroleum Corporation. The existing public utilities are perfect and the supporting facilities are complete in the Park. As there are various institutes for chemical planning, design and research and specialized units for chemical construction and chemical machinery manufacture, the Park boasts tremendous technical strength and rich human resource.

The general planning for the Park takes into account the investment projects of SINOPEC in Nanjing, particularly YPC and the BASF-YPC IPS Project, conforms to the principles of once-through planning, implementation in steps, unified arrangement and planning of public works, R&D in advance, and complete and rational supporting facilities, and aims at providing favorable investment environment for investors.

Nanjing Chemical Industry Park is one of the key projects of Nanjing in the new century and also one of the chemical industry bases that SINOPEC gives top priority to.
