as a provincial-level development zone in Lishui County, Nanjing, it covers a total area of 118 square kilometers, where 32 square kilometers have been completed while 60 square kilometers are being designed and planned and another 26 square kilometers are designed for ecological agriculture. Its Cross-strait New Material Industrial Park is designed to cover an area of 4,500 mu with focus on introduction of domestic and overseas investors from such sectors as electronic information material, newly-functioned material, ecological and environmental material, advanced compound material and high-performance structural material development & application. Its Nanjing Lishui Zhetang Aviation Industrial Park is designed to cover an area of 46 square kilometers with focus on introduction of domestic and overseas corporations from such sectors as aviation-oriented logistics (mainly represented by modern logistics, bonded warehousing and export processing), aviation-related manufacturing (mainly represented by aircraft components & parts, light aircraft power and light aircraft R&D and manufacturing), headquarters economy (mainly represented by financial services, commercial services and headquarters of group corporations) and aviation-related services (mainly represented by airport retail, recreational facilities and tourist services).
There are more than 600 enterprises in the Zone at present, including a number of key industrial leaders like Nanjing Changan Automobile, Strong Food, Yunhai Special Metals, China Liansu and Skyworth. The Zone has introduced a large number of base-styled and guiding-functioned projects such as the Skyworth Scientific Town, Chuangyuan New Energy E-bike, Jinweidu Logistics, the unmanned aircraft by No. 60 Institute of PLA General Staff and MasterKong packaging material, and has attracted many European and US companies like A.O. Smith Water Purifier, EMZ Hanauer (Germany), and Spanish Logistics. Particularly, Bunge, one of the world's top 500 corporations, has brought its agricultural and husbandry projects to the Zone.
