It focuses on the software information industry (represented by CETC No. 14 Research Institute and Nanjing Internet Software Park), the cultural and creative industry (the Digital Publication Base, led by TimesMedia and PowerLeader) and the high-end commerce and trade industry (represented by the International Automobile Trading Zone and Suning Logistics). By 2015, it aims to attract as many as 1,000 corporations with 150,000 employees engaged in the software industry and to introduce 4 talents under the State Thousand Talents Program, 8 entrepreneurial pioneers and 150 leading entrepreneurial talents. Meanwhile, it will concentrate on the construction of the incubatory platform for software companies, the innovation-based cooperation and trading platform, the talent training and education platform, the corporate investment and financing platform, the platform for scientific and technological cooperation and exchange, the software testing platform and the testing platform for high-end RF analogue chips.
With a software-related floor area of 430,000 square meters, the Zone now has 54 software companies with nearly 7,000 employees including 3 academicians, 21 doctors and over 50 masters as well as 2 middle-aged and young chief scientists, 6 middle-aged and young leading scientific and technological talents and 29 middle-aged and young leaders in science, all recognized under the provincial 333 Talent Programme.
