??A new Food Court on plank road announced its opening in the evening of July 12. It is located in the 200-meter area by the riverside from northern bank of Wu Dingqiao to Lai Yanqiao, which belongs to tourism route on the water in Qinhuai River Scenic Belt. Here citizens and tourists can taste dozens of special foods. Taiwan food zone plays an important role in this food court. Mainly managed by people from Taiwan, it will serve the customers with famous Taiwan specialties such as Oyster Omelette, Shenkeng stinky tofu, Hsinchu meatball soup and Taiwan fruit shake. Confucius Temple?s Beer and Food Festival, which was arranged to celebrate the opening of this food court, opened at the same time.

??Will there be any environmental problem due to such a food court by the Qinhuai River? Xu Xiaoming, manager of Confucius Temple?s Cultural Developing Company ltd. in charge of this food court, said they have signed an environmental protection contract with all the individual enterprises. According to the contract, each individual enterprise was charged a 2000 yuan cash deposit. Pouring a glass of water into the river will be fined 1000 yuan. No field processing is allowed and semi-finished products are required. Besides these, three places are developed to provide customers with clean water.
