A series of complementary projects are being carried out, aiming to gain a 5A scenic area title for Qinhuai Scenic Area of the Confucius Temple. According to the person in charge of the manage office of Qinhuai scenic area, Qinhuai Scenic Area, which has been elaborately designed again, will be opened to the public.

Located in the bank of Qinhuai River, which enjoys profound cultural background, Qinhuai scenic area ranks first in Nanjing in terms of regional features. Integrating temple and market, it riches in tourist resources -- Hall of Great Achievement with a long history, Jiangnan Gongyuan, old Qinhuai River, urn-like city walls of Zhonghua Gate, the former residence of Li Xiangjun and many other historical humanity landscapes which stand there like shinning pearls scattered on the ten-mile Qinhuai Scenic Area. In the old business street of the Confucius Temple, lots of traditionl and modern shops are standing closely side by side.

A senior official from Qinhuai Tourist Bureau said that once this Scenic Area succeeded in gaining the 5A scenic area title, Nanjing would become the first city in China to have an open 5A scenic area. Nanjing?s Successful experience together with the experience of complementary projects would become the reference standard for other cities aiming to become 5A scenic areas.  

During August and September, after the inspection of Provincial Tourism Bureau, a inspection team from National Tourism Administration will come to Nanjing to carry out field survey.

The head of Qinhuai regional government said, ?Judging from both the developing requirements and the fierce competition between scenic areas, we are confident to win this battle.?

A more charming and wonderful Qinhuai scenic area will be presented to the world soon. (Nanjing Daily)
