The Changan Ford Mazda Engine Co., Ltd. was jointly established on Sep. 26, 2005 within Jiangning Economic and Technological Development Zone by Chongqing Changan Auto Holdings Co., Ltd., Ford Motor and Mazda Group Corporation, with a registered capital of USD172.7 million and a total investment of USD465.84 million, where Chongqing Changan holds 50% of the total equity and Ford Motor and Mazda Group Corporation respectively 25%. The company is now holding a staff of 2,017 employees.
With an integrated annual capacity of 430,000 engines, the company has so far set up 15 production lines for three major processes including casting, machining and assembly, and its engine products are to be classified into three major categories, namely, BZ, NEW I4 and Sigma, with displacement ranging from 1.3L to 2.3L.
Taking the creation of outstanding engines and harmonized life as its own mission with focus on scientific management and social compliance, the company has successively passed the ISO9001 and TS16949 Quality System Certification, the OHSAS18001: 2007 Occupational Health and Safety Management System Certification and the ISO14001 Environmental System Certification. It was the only engine factory worldwide issued the Best Quality Award by Ford Motor in 2011 for its excellent quality control performance. In business operations, the company sticks to its core values of "respecting consumers, relying on staff, devoting to work with sincerity and never stopping improvement" and actively promotes its corporate culture of "double concerns". It was entitled the National Model Home for Employees by ACFTU in 2011.
