2017 Whole Project Roller Skating World Championship Lowered Its Curtain in Nanjing

On yesterday evening, 2017 whole project roller skating world championship successfully lowered its curtain in Nanjing, the capital of roller skating. From August 27th to September 10th, Nanjing presented a speedy, passionate and joyful banquet to roller skating lovers and audience.

 
There are all together ten major sports including speed roller skating, artistic roller skating, roller derby, freestyle roller skating, etc., realizing a dream of all the roller skaters that is to hold a competition with the highest level for all projects in a city and to achieve a grand reunion over historical scale. During the 15 days’ competition, more than 4,000 athletes and officials from 60 countries and regions gathered in Nanjing, and China's national team won 9 gold medals, 5 silver medals and 3 bronze medals.


The closing ceremony was held in Wutaishan gymnasium. The officials of International Roller-skating Federation (FIRS), officials of Barcelona 2019 whole project roller skating world championship committee and more than 2000 athletes and officials from 60 countries and regions attended the closing ceremony. Araku, president of FIRS, announced to lower the curtain and thanked Nanjing for its outstanding organization and reception capacity in the event.

 
Hu Wanjin, vice chairman of 2017 whole project roller skating world championship committee and vice mayor of Nanjing municipal government attended the ceremony and made a speech.
